        Polycarbonate, English name Polycarbonate, PC for short. PC is a kind of amorphous, odorless, non-toxic, highly transparent, colorless or yellowish thermoplastic engineering plastics. It has excellent physical and mechanical properties, especially excellent impact resistance, high tensile strength, flexural strength and compressive strength, small creep, stable size, good heat resistance and low temperature resistance, and stable mechanical properties in a wide temperature range. Its stability, electrical properties and flame retardancy can be used for a long time at -60~120 (?) C. It has no obvious melting point and melts at 220-230 (?) C. Because of the rigidity of molecular chain, the viscosity of resin melt is high. It has small water absorption, small shrinkage, high dimensional accuracy, good dimensional stability and low permeability of film. It belongs to self-extinguishing material. It has good light stability and weather resistance. PC polycarbonate is a kind of macromolecule compound containing carbonate in molecular chain. Polycarbonate is a new type of thermoplastic with transparency up to 90%. It is known as transparent metal. Rigid and tough, with high impact resistance, high dimensional stability and wide range of service temperature, good insulation and heat resistance and non-toxicity.

        Properties: Polycarbonate resin has developed many modified varieties through copolymerization, blending, reinforcement and other ways. Polycarbonate is the crown of general thermoplastics with good dimensional stability. It has good thermal resistance and can be used for a long time at - 60-120 degrees. The thermal change temperature is 130-140, the glass transition temperature is 149 degrees and the thermal decomposition temperature is over 310 degrees. Polycarbonate has low polarity, high glass temperature, low water absorption, low shrinkage, high dimensional accuracy, light stability and good weather resistance. It is easy to be machined and formed because of its reduction. Polycarbonate blended with this 20-40% ABS resin has excellent comprehensive properties. It has not only high mechanical strength and heat resistance of polycarbonate resin, but also good fluidity of ABS and easy processing. The performance indexes are mostly between polycarbonate and ABS.
